In the 1990s, Dr. Russell Blaylock went before Congress to present the validity and role of excitotoxic ingredients in food. As a result of his presentation, the FDA then required all food manufacturers to indicate on food labels (including baby food) if MSG (monosodium glutamate--an excitotoxin) was present.  However, food manufacturers do not have to point out the derivatives of MSG. They are also excitotoxic. There are many.
